Abstract
This study focuses on identifying any discrepancies between parents' perception of school readiness of their kindergarten child's readiness scores. In this study it is provided that there are different perceptions of parents about their child's readiness for school. This research also provides the understanding of child's readiness and its importance. This study also highlights the kindergarten class readiness assessment based on Maryland Model for School Readiness MMSR standards. On the basis of these, there are different research instruments designed which includes the school readiness survey, the readiness questionnaire/interview, and the student readiness assessment based on the five point Likert scale. This study also provides detailed overview of the research methodology and research outcome.

Chapter 1: Child Readiness
Introduction
There are various problems associated with the perception of parents fort their child's readiness for school. Different parents face problems regarding age and capability of their children for joining the school and this creates problems for them. This is the reason that most of the parents needs to get p[roper and authentic information to avoid different discrepancies regarding their child's readiness for school. According to Farran (2011) there is also problem associated with the parents regarding the development of their child's ability to join school. He discussed this concern associated with the child's readiness in context with the United States. Preschool and prekindergarten system plays an important role in facilitation of child's readiness for the school (Farran, 2011, p.5-15). There are different stakeholders who play a major role in child readiness for the school. These key stakeholders include; teachers, parents and school administrative. There are different other stakeholders which emphasized on child's readiness such as Maryland State Board of Education(2012), State Department of Education. (2003) and Patterson Park Public Charter School (2102). This requires proper measures to deal with all these issues, policies, and measures that can assist parents to avoid problems with their child's readiness for school.
Problem
The main problem is the discrepancies between parents' perception of school readiness of their kindergarten child's readiness scores that faced by the parents in understanding best age for their child to join the kindergarten. This requires that the children require proper attention to become ready for their kindergarten classes. This is the main concern for the parents that how to make their children prepare for the schools. In this case it is important to understand what child's readiness for school is. Bates, et.al, (2006) emphasized on the importance of indicators for the child's readiness and initiatives for it.
Child readiness
Maryland Model for School Readiness MMSR(2009) defines school readiness as the early developmental stage of a child with the family assistance.
