Hypoglycemia

Hypoglycemia is the name given to the situation in which the blood glucose concentration is lower than normal It develops most often in people who are taking insulin or hypoglycemic medications to treat diabetes (Rabin, n.pg).

Hypoglycemia may occur for several reasons:

Insulin or hypoglycemic too high.

Skipping a meal.

Intense or prolonged exercise.

In non diabetics, the circumstances that can cause hypoglycemia include certain types of tumors, ingestion of alcohol or eating poorly (ic.galegroup.com).
