Discussion and Analysis

The first manifestations of hyperactivity and attention problems usually start early in the development of the child. These demonstrations are often visible before the age of 7 and change over the years. Therefore, it is important to detect early disorder attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The evaluation of the child to identify the disorder is a complex and serious to be entrusted to professionals. Although the diagnosis of ADHD is a medical intervention, the process of assessing the situation of the young should follow a multidisciplinary approach involving collaboration and exchange of information between the different stakeholders.

Particular to reduce the risk of developing other problems, early intervention is considered essential and it must be based on a proper assessment. Various means must be used simultaneously, including whether or not a medication, and leverage the resources of the young and their families, as well as the school, the academic health and social services, custody , leisure and sports. The choice of interventions should be done in collaboration with parents, the doctor, the school professionals and all the young adults who encounter in its environment. In addition, youth in difficulty should be monitored regularly in order to adapt to the need for intervention plan to help him (Walker, 1998).
