Abstract

Over the period of last few years, the batteries of hybrid cars have been significantly improved. In order to minimize the replacement requirements, it is essential to maximize the battery life. This report discusses the Lithium-Ion battery technology which is most used in the latest efficient hybrid cars, the Toyota Prius as a hybrid car with greatest potential, the lifetime of battery start up and replacement cost of battery.
