Introduction

Human services are a variety of delivery systems like services of social welfare, mental health, education, and all other forms of health care. The professionals of health care provide a direct service to clients in order to help them access the services. It is a broad field that approaches uniquely the objective of meeting the needs of human with the help of an interdisciplinary knowledge base. It essentially focus on the prevention and remediation of problems and also maintaining the service populations overall life quality. Prejudice leads to the behaviors that are discriminatory while, in discrimination, the groups or individuals got excluded to have full participation in the society due to prejudice. Social and economic inequalities are created and reinforced by discrimination which in turn emphasizes prejudices.

In the interdisciplinary knowledge base, it is the study of processes to meet the needs of humans in order to facilitate the self-determined systematic changes of clients. It take place at all levels of the society including; personal, interpersonal, small groups, family, organization, communities and global level for improving their overall quality of life. There are six perspectives from which the definition of human services is derived:

The purpose and theme of human services include problems in living, modern world, social control, care and rehabilitation.

The human services interdisciplinary nature in which the clients nature, environment and the helper and client interactions are considered.

Helping relationships is between the client and the helper.

Principles of management are used by the providers of human service because they work on a continuous basis for improving the services towards clients.
