Introduction

This essay is based on the analysis of film Hotel Rwanda (2004) and how does the United Nations and the International community handles human rights violators. Hotel Rwanda is a 2004 drama film directed by Terry George, co-written by Keir Pearson and starring Don Cheadle and Sophie Okonedo in the main roles. The story is set in the civil slaughter occurred in 1994 in Rwanda and the experiences that a group of people lived during the genocide. This film intend to highlight the ethnic conflict between Hutus and Tutsis, which in a short time made arrangements for peace agreement backed by the United nations. Organization of the UN triggers a series of events in the hands of the Hutus, who disturb the peace of the country. The film is set in the Hotel Mille Collines in Kigali, as this becomes the refuge of hundreds of ethnic Tutsis, through its foreign ownership status and their guests.

The political and legal dimension of the Human Rights Act is well-crafted structure of the constitutional system of United Kingdom which is proposed by UN. This helps to create vulnerable understanding for the generation of the substantial change. It will help to declare the provisions and benefits of family law, anti-terrorism, discrimination, social welfare, security, property law, and the law of property and housing. The reasonable effectiveness of compatible triggering help the disadvantaged groups help to redeem the problematic legislation across all the judicial cases. The Human Rights Act and all the related natural context of its administration has extended the protection of rights for terrorist suspects, transsexual persons, homosexuals, asylum-seekers, and other vulnerable groups in the favor of their decisions (Steiner, pp. 18).

Discussion and Analysis

Hotel Rwanda is a film based on a true story. It is a story about ordinary hero, the story of a hotel manager who in 1994 succeeded in saving the lives of 1269 Tutsis who took refuge in his hotel to escape the genocide and indiscriminate killing occurred in Rwanda after the arrival of the Hutus to power. A film not only exposes the exceptional qualities of a great character but also denounces the atrocities of man (about one million people were killed after the arrival of the Hutus to power), the passivity of the international powers and Western countries by not taking any action to prevent one of the biggest genocides committed by humans.
