Introduction

Though the human rights have offered a vision to improve the social life, the traditional concept of these rights has been based on the moral principles which are on the basis of a person's inherent dignity which clears the requirement of all types of political authority. From the traditional natural law which offers standards that are universal constraining every sovereign towards the modern political accounts of the international human rights which draws the limits in the right of self-determination of the state, the understanding of the human rights is dominated by the concepts of rights. This form of legislative conception is from the basic principles of morality which are present due to the constitutional authority and divine dictate. This conception for human rights has faced a lot of criticism by stating that it is reinforcing instead of challenging the liberal capitalist and state power and is neglecting the violence which is done by the human nature's Eurocentric account. It has been revised many times so that it takes into consideration the above mentioned objectives. The main centre of this debate is the claim which is unavoidable which states that the humanity has a moral, singular and common nature that is shared by each and every individual which makes a universal standard that every political authority needs to meet. The presence of ethical diversity is threatening to reduce the moral authority to imposition and force so that the human rights can be made an imperial ideology (Pagden, 2003).

Therefore, the rectification of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is needed to develop a consensus which gives an authority which is required for the human rights' legislative conception.

Human Rights' Declaration

In comparison to the human rights legislative account there is an increasing understanding which emphasizes on the use of human rights as a type of political tool specifically through the social movement which challenges the institutionalized authority with the new forms of rights claims (Hunt, 2008). In understanding of the human rights, it places importance on the discontinuity in the rights claims and plurality and focus on the way these rights offer new types of political possibilities. They differ from the legislative understanding which emphasizes on the delimiting of rights which limit the authority (Hoover, n.d.).

Challenges in Universal human rights

Though the concept of human rights is somewhat abstract, it is difficult to understand how it is applied which has an enormous and direct impact on the daily life. There are thousands of people that have suffered from the crimes against humanity (CFR, 2013).
