Introduction

This paper will discuss the similarities and differences between two companies in terms of policies in one of the most important sectors. The two companies which have been chosen are Hamad Medical Corporation and QatarGas. Both these organizations are based in Qatar. The sector chosen for comparison is Training and Development. The phenomena of training and development are based on the understanding of all the reforms required at the end of a learning session. This aspect of Human Resource Management is placed under the division of global organizational management (Goldstein, 2002). The core concept of the training and development is to have a core gist of the goal which provides benefits to the company as well as its employees. This is the reason why many reputed international organizations have a continuous phase of training for the entire employee community. It improves the overall performance and development of the organization and the individual (Vemic, 2007).

Background of Qatargas

Qatarqas is world's largest company that produces liquefied natural gas. The company was established in 1984 and now has four ventures. The main provider of the company is Highness the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani. With its headquarters based in Doha, this company has taken the responsibility to deliver the world with 42 million metrics tons of Liquefied natural gas. The company has seven trains that run on this gas and the trains are known as mega-trains. The aims and objectives of the company include the vision to be world's only company that focuses on the cohesiveness of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) (QG, 2013).

Hamad Medical Corporation is premier in health care provision. It is based in Qatar since 1979 and is a nonprofit organization. The corporation has eight hospitals which include:
