Personal management

Personal management is that process which is responsible for the selection of individuals in accordance to the requirement of a particular job (Hayton 2011 Pp 78). Personnel selection is the right process used as the hiring process within the organizations. However, this term is applied on the aspects of recruitment, selection, hiring and then acculturation etc. Personnel functions are performed by the specific departments (G Pitt 2003, P. 25-35). The managers in the organization need to attain results through other people efforts and should know how to manage the employment relationship. The personnel requirement for a particular job clearly identifies all the job duties and requirements with a complete description. Further it also explains person specification.

Job description

Job description is the identification of the requirements of duties at any job. It is based on the information which is obtained from job analysis; it gives a clear understanding of skills and competencies which are required for task accomplishment of the job (Robbins 2009, P. 57). This describes responsibilities of specific job. It also involves the description of tools, working conditions and the use of equipments along with the skills needed within a specific job. For example; job of the National sales manager need a competent skilled sales manager who is capable enough to perform certain tasks according to the requirements which are described in the job description.

Job Summary

The core objective of the job is building and maintaining the performance of Sales in an organization in order to achieve the overall goal of the company (Bloisi 2007 Pp 23-25).

Sales Manager Job Purpose

Selling of products with implied sales plan and right supervising of sales staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

One of the major responsibility of the National Sales manager is creating and implementing effective sales strategies and lead personnel's of direct sales nationwide towards the achievement of corporate sales objectives.

Developing competencies which are required in the process in order to make sales more efficient and effective within organization.

Providing an official sales budget control along with the incentive and compensation planning programs.

Develop supervision by doing observations of the results which includes salary reviews and performance appraisals and also through the analysis of the filed visits.

Contribute in managing the sales reports and monitor final sales reports and statistics against the targets which are set on weekly and monthly basis.

Report the final judgments to the top management.

Identify the changes that occur in the value of the product in the market and transform these changes and modify strategies in accordance to the changes that occur.

Prepare a complete forecast of sales on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Maintaining and developing effective relationship with other departments of the organization and outside the organization which results in better understanding of the market position of your product and services and also it helps in addressing the key business opportunities and issues.

Develop skills of maintaining the competitive knowledge in order to adjust sales strategies.
