GCR Services Group is one of the best companies in its field. It is the national provider of quality facility services. These include services for contamination control, clean room manufacturing services, janitorial services, in-sourced production staffing, facilities maintenance, labor management, grounds management, and staffing services. The company has a very good portfolio of clients and has been working for renowned companies from the Fortune 500 list. The customer retention rate of the company is the highest in its category.

The company employs over 20,000 employees that provide service to 100 million square feet of space on a daily basis. The loyal customers of the company belong from very diverse industries. They belong to the manufacturing industry, schooling industry, aviation, pharmaceutical and even nuclear power industries.

The phenomenal success of the company can be attributed to only one thing, the quality human resource employed by the company. It is only the people of an organization that serves as the backbone of the company. Without them any business will not be able to achieve the competitive advantage. The paper studies the human resource practices at GCR Services group. I have chosen this company not only because I work here but because the human resource department is one of the most efficient in the company. The human resource department performs various functions such as recruitment and selection, compensation management, planning, training and retention management (Weiss & MacKay, 2010, p. 3).

Career position at GCR Services Group

Currently the company is recruiting in the corporate division. The positions open at the moment are Sales and Marketing and Accounting and Finance. As per the company's growth strategy, there are about 4 openings in each of the two departments. The company is continuously looking for the best of talent that the country has to offer. In the Sales and Marketing department, the open position is called Marketing and Sales Executive whereas in the Accounting and Finance, the open position is for Executive - Accounting and Finance.
