Introduction

Human Resource management is a management process of the set of Individuals who make up the workforce of an Organization (University of Mumbai, 2013, Pp 1). The management is responsible for the selection, training and awardings to the workforce. Different organizations have their own sets of rule to manage the staffs. Here the organization that will be discussed is BUPA Arabia. BUPA Arabia is a health-care organization operating in Saudi Arabia. It offers health care insurance to make sure that the money is available to treat any health related issue. It also provides facilities such as hospital and care home for old people, health training and workplace health care services (BUPA Arabia, 2013).

Task 1

Task 1 will define a complete Human resource management model that BUPA health Insurance follows. Human Resource planning is the process to forecast the future of the organization and number of people that will be required for the particular job. BUPA health insurance makes this by planning the future customers and hence increasing the labor force according to that.

Recruitment

After planning, process of recruitment takes place. In this process, Department investigates the type of staff require for the particular rank. Department also decides the terms of appointment, whether it is a permanent appointment or contractual based. Vacancies are normally advertised in newspaper or websites of the company. Proper training sessions are arranged with the candidates to know their communications and qualifications. After selection, newly recruited employees are subjected to probation period in which employees are subjected to the company's process and training to make them prepare. BUPA insurance recruits people on the basis of their qualifications and skills required for the particular job. For example if there is any opening in the sales department, individual will be hired on the basis of his qualifications and experience. Jobs are advertised on the websites and candidates are shortlisted for the test and interviews for the selection process.

Performance Management

The aim of performance management is to increase the productivity of the company. Motivation of the staff is very important to help them achieve their goals (Suzana Adela et al. 2013, Pg 1). Regular feedbacks are passed to the employees to make them know their performance. Celebrating the victory is also very common in the organizations. In these celebrations, proper award distribution functions are arranged to give the employee recognition if he is able to perform well and achieve his benchmark. This also motivates the other employees to accomplish their goals effectively. If any individual has an ability to perform tasks of higher ranks, he is promoted to that rank. If any employee is not performing up to his benchmark, proper training sessions are arranged for him so that he can work on his weaknesses.
