Human Relations Theory is linked back to the Human Relation Movement, which formed the basis of positive organizational development. There was an extensive period of research and progress, originating in 1930s and brining an overall change in the field of management of human relations with the organizations.

Management is defined as the process of dealing with or controlling things or people, and human relations management is thus dealing with the relations between people working within an organization. The key elements involved in the process are employer, employee and the managers, where employee is the one hired by the organization for wages and the employer is the one who employs people, mostly the owner of the organization. Managers are the individuals responsible for organizing and controlling the staff, and thus hold an essential position in human relations management (Banfield and Kay, 2008, Pp: 26).

The industry expert Dave Ulrich has divided the mission and aim of human resource management into four steps, thus simplifying the complicated procedure. He has also mentioned the various individuals required to carry out the tasks, according to status and post allotted to them:

1.It aligns the human resource, as well as the business strategy, performed by the strategic partners in the business.

2.It involves the re-engineering of the organizational processes, which is done by the regulatory experts.

3.It's about listening to employees and responding their needs, demands and queries, and the function is performed by the employer champion.

4.It includes management of the changes and the transformations that are taking place at various fronts, and the change agent is responsible for all such managements.

In addition to the above mentioned functions, the human resource management involves managing the whole employment lifecycle of all employees. The procedure starts with the hiring part, and ends at firing employees. The first and foremost responsibility of the human resource individuals is to attract the right and perfectly fit individual for the post, and the process is carried out through employer branding. After attracting the right individual to the organization, then there is the hiring step and the task is allotted to the recruitment department, along with training of the new recruits.
