Introduction

It has become essential for most of the organizations in the current era to deploy people embodied knowledge, know how, abilities and skills among the employees in order to achieve success in the global and international market. Human resource management is one of the core functions of the organizations operating in competitive global business market. The main function of human resource management is to management, recruitment and setting up of the direction of the employees at the organization. It also deals with the issues pertinent to the hiring, compensation, safety, performance management, benefits, wellness, communication and motivation of employees, their training and administration. Every organization around the world has concerns regarding the management of people in their workforce. This issue is widespread in the field of business management.

The effective management of human beings in an organization is one of the crucial factors that determine the success of the organization. It also helps the organization in achieving a distinguishing position in the competitive industry (Albrecht, 2000). This concept becomes a challenge for those who manage the workforce in an organization. It requires skills, knowledge and abilities to effectively manage the human resource factor in an organization that could lead the organization to success (Gooderham et al., 2012). This paper deals with the issues and challenges related to human resource management within an organization. The selected organization for the study is Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance Co which is based in Qatar. The paper deals with the human resource management problem that is having an adverse impact on the effectiveness of the organization. It critically examines the current situation of the company with respect to human resource management; the root causes of the issues associated with the company and intends to analyze an action plan to resolve those issues and challenges.

In order to analyse the problems with the human resource management in Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance Co, first it is required to understand the concept of human resource management and its importance to the organizations. The core function of human resource management in an organization is to manage the people working with the organization according to the abilities, needs and skills of the employees. The concept of human resource management is growing worldwide in multinational and local organizations due to the efficient results obtained through the proper and efficient management of people within the organization. The main concern of HRM in an organization is to consider the dimensions of people. Some concepts of HRM are universally accepted by most of the organizations and people working in the personnel departments.
