Importance of human resource management

In today's fast pace of competition the success of the companies depends upon the way the companies manages their business process and the way they manage their employees in an efficient manner. The human resources management of the companies play significant role in providing the success and the competitive advantage to the companies. The performances of the employees of the companies and their motivation and devotion towards their work directly impact the overall performances of the business.

Discussion

It has been found in the case study that there certain drawbacks in the relationship between company and the employees. The company is not fully aware of it missions and the vision and that is why the company is not properly coming up with the proper business strategy. The CEO of the company, Simon is considering the expansion of the company and the company is willing to expand the business by 2013 and this expansion requires the company to hire new work force in different departments of the company in order to have the successful expansion in near future.

In order to improve the quality of the services and the products that are delivered to the customers, the company will have to make betterment in it human resource management practices. The company, Munroe Kitchens requires expanding its workforce in the departments where there is the lack of employees. Particularly the fitted kitchen department in which the company is willing to make the expansion requires the expertise that can improve the quality of the services and the products that are provided to the end customers. In order to make the business strategy that will result in the quality enhancement of the business, the company Munroe Kitchens will have to make the following important considerations.

Methods of selection for the designer and carpenters

Employee selection strategies and methods involve the activities of the research, testing and evaluation of the candidates and based on these strategies and methods the potential employees are selected. In order to expand the business in the successful and the strategic manner, the company will have to make the improvements in its human resources department. The company will have to implement the appropriate methods for the selection of the capable expertise of the designer and carpenters for the department of the fitted kitchen expansion. The selection of the employees is very difficult and challenging task for the employers and it becomes more difficult when the company requires the talented and skilled employees and workforce such as the carpenters (Daniel A. Crowl, 2007, pp. 223). The appropriate method that the company will use will involve certain specific steps.
