Introduction

In order to maintain and extend family relationships, communication technologies are widely being used. It is important to understand the influence of these technologies on families as well as on societies. This is the requirement of the time to focus on the emotional and social aspects o communication technologies. We must be aware with the reasons that people are mostly implementing these advance technologies to interact with their family members, are these technologies suitable to their lifestyles and what influence technology produces on leisure and work and interleaving of home. There are many aspects that rise different questions. These questions include disclosure, privacy, and trust, sense of connection, privacy, status, exclusion and disclosure within the premises of the home.

There are several issues that are related to the purpose and effective advantages of building the usage of technology in daily life. With the development of these communication technologies, world has turned out into a global village. It has minimized all the distances among the family members living far apart from the family. People now believe on the technologies, as they find it the most suitable medium to express their feelings and emotions to those whom they care about. Family life is replaced with the technological communication practices. Family is considered to be a very significant aspect of life; it plays a vital role in the creation of moral values and socialization skills. Furthermore, the way of communication between family members is completely transformed with the technological advancement and it seems to be dispersed (Larry and Rosen, 2007).

Thesis Statement: Advancement in communication technology has evolved the typical family structures and life styles (Kraut, Brynin and Kiesler, 2006).

Discussion

Families can no more be considered as a group of parents and children. The concept of family has changed with the passage of time. Changes can be clearly observed in the aspects of functions, responsibilities and its structure. Relationships of step family, divorced parents and bond between multigenerational have affected the family structures and changed it to a higher extend. There is observed a common assumption related to the future of the lifestyle of family as it leads to supposition of a common decline in family relationships and bonds. This deterioration is due to the increased physical distance among different family members. In last few years, I is more commonly observed that the families are spitted into various place, fathers are mostly out of the town regarding their business, children go abroad for studies. But technological advancement has minimized all the distances. People do not feel the distances, as they can now easily contact with their family members, even they can live see each other pictures and video. it is very important to understand the transformation and its effect the families.
