Introduction

The hospitality, sports and tourism sector covers a broad area in UK which involves the managements of hotels, restaurants, cafes, sport clubs, bars and various other roles in travel and tourism industry. The hospitality industry is basically the name given to a wide range of fields within the service industry including cruise lines, restaurants, theme parks, lodging, event planning, cruise line, as well as various fields within the tourism industry. The hospitality industry is a several billion dollar industry which is formed on the basis of the availability of leisure time and disposable income. A hospitality unit such as restaurant, hotel, Entertainment Park is further divided into several groups like direct operations (bartenders, kitchen workers, housekeepers, front office, etc.), facility maintenance, marketing, human resources, management and club in order to facilitate public. For hospitality industry, usability rate is considered as an important variable.

Traditional view leads to the heart of the hospitality industry. If the word hospitality refers to the act of providing food, drink and accommodation to travelers, the hospitality industry consists of companies that do this. This leads to two important distinctions between the hospitality industry and other utilities: The hospitality industry offers drinks, food, shelter, or some combination of the three other companies offer only on the basis of highest incidence. The hospitality industry provides a service primarily to travelers, in the broad sense of the term. By contrast, other services companies relate primarily to customers who are local residents who are stable and do not participate in the process of traveling. Thus the typical barber or salon that normally caters to the local community. Travelers are usually a small part of their business.

A large part of the sociological and philosophical literature on hospitality focused on absolute strange exiles, deported, expelled, uprooted, stateless nomads. It was often, at least for researchers committed to bring a stone to the debates raised in France, the various laws aimed at controlling immigration or regularization of illegal aliens. However, hospitality is not integration. A certain distance must be maintained to preserve foreign uniqueness (Lashley,and Morrison, eds., 2000).

Structure of Hospitality Industry

In UK, the hospitality industry is a varied and broad industry that ranges from single-person organization to international corporations. There are more than eighty jobs for people in this industry. There are seven sub-industries with which the hospitality industry is defined including food service providers, hotels food service membership clubs, restaurants, gambling, pubs, night clubs, bars and hospitality services. This industry is not only based on restaurants and hotels but there are twelve other sectors in which this industry is divided Zapalska, et al. , 2002).

There is a range of accommodation services offered by the industry. Accommodation does not only refer to bedrooms but this term also refers to public areas like function and conference rooms.
