Introduction

This paper describes recent history and current homeless etiology in United States, provides information on homelessness and health problems, and describes steps health professionals can take to treat patients without home and to try to overcome social problem of homelessness. Although most of issues related to homelessness affect both men and women, unique circumstances of homeless women and health problems will be emphasized when appropriate.
