Introduction

Conducting a research based on human care and the elderly people calls for sheer discretion. Human care under philosophy, science and the theory presented by Watson is a complete set of guidelines for channeling community health nursing practices. There is a need to conduct an extensive research on the topic as the existing nursing theories are receiving criticisms in relation to the human care and elderly people.

Most of the theories focus on individuals and are practiced within the framework of frailty. As a consequence, they provide inadequate information for the community health and health endorsement. Homecare for elderly people requires scientific as well as humanistic approach to carry out a research. Both the approaches provide medical and social ethics for the nurses that can be valuable for maintaining substantial professional roots.

Needs of Elderly People

The theory emphasizes on nurses to keep a bond of social values with the patient's care, especially, when taking care of elderly people at home. In this situation, nurses have to deal with the patient's families as well. It is pertinent to satisfy the needs of a patient and the expectations of the families simultaneously. Moreover, elderly people are more demanding than children in respect of their dignity and self esteem.

Aim of Study

The research starts with the aim of the study. The theory of human care provides a well-explained aim of gaining deep insight into elderly patients' care and highlighting the overall concept of homecare for elderly people.
