Tango dance has untraceable origins. They myths circulating provide evidence that the information regarding the birth of Tango is untraceable. However Tango Dance had emerged from the societies of the poor and disadvantaged people. These people are unable to trace in the history of Art and Dance. The oldest Tango which has been adopted by the orchestras today was composed by a pianist, Rosendo Mendizabal. He was working as a pianist in a club in Buenos Aires in 1980s. Rosendo recordings were the first step towards the Tango creation. It was followed composition of “First Great Tango” by singer Angel Villoldo in 1905. The name of the song was “El Choclo”. El Chocolo was amongst the two Tangos which are instantly recognized by the people when they hear to the music. Many leading and prominent tunes were composed by Villaldo which are still recognized today. The original meaning of Chocolo is corn cob but Villaldo had used it in a more humorous manner in the song. However the words of Villaldo were outdated and were replaced by the musicians (Outreach World, 2013).
The myth which existed till now and found in most of the online resources suggest that Tango was created in early Buenos Aires. The reality is that Argentina witnessed one of the massive migrations in history in the earlier 1800s and 1900s. In 1869 Buenos Aires population was 180,000. By 1914 the population soared to 1.5 million. The core cultures were melted because of the massive immigration. The population, which was settled in Argentina, consisted of Italian, British, Polish, Russian and locally born Argentines.
