History of Dance Music

Introduction

Music is the form of art. The definition of music varies according to its composition, performance and significance across the culture and society. Dance is one of the defined forms of music. The forms of dance music are composed across different periods. Baroque dance is one of the aesthetic from of the Baroque era in Europe. It is related to the music, theatre and opera of the Baroque period.

Dance Suite of Baroque period

Baroque dances are historical dances. It includes the form of classical and medieval music. It includes social (ballroom) and theatrical (ballet) dancing. It is one of the richest, ornamental and diverse periods in the music history.

Consumers are aware of the potential power of the music. Sieur Claudin Le Jeune described the power of rhythm, melody and harmony of type of music and dance form in Greece and Rome. The concept of melody and harmony begin to articulate in the Baroque period. Powerful orator is necessary in the writings of Romans and Greeks (Saunders, 1996).
