The Frontier

In American culture, the word "border" is not just a boundary between two countries, for example, but more generally, a limit is reached dansun particular area, by colonization. Territories affected were not strictly speaking countries, but generally unsettled regions occupied by various Indian tribes.

In the History of the American continent since 1492, the "Frontier" is basically ubiquitous. This is an infinitely complex concept, critical to understanding the real history and legendary history of the United States (the latter mainly transmitted by Westerns) (Rogin,1991).
