Introduction

The conceptual model of web of causation is used to illustrate class of subjects and associations leading to occurrence and spread of a health problem of a disease. It was developed to illustrate various pathways or directions that aim on origins of a health problem or a disease, giving rise to defined contributing risk factors. It has been used in community health and nursing for expression of disabilities and diseases caused by numerous factors and recognition of probable points for preventive intrusion of community health problems.
