Bill Gates was born in Seattle, Washington to William H. Gates, Sr. and Mary Maxwell Gates. His parent's origin is German, English and Scots-Irish. His mother was a professional mother who not only worked as a housewife but also served as a board of directors for United Way and First Interstate BancSystem. On contrary, his father was a lawyer. As his father was a lawyer, he also wanted to see his son become a lawyer too and help him in succeeding his career. Therefore, his parents had a law career for him in their mind. Gates, in his childhood, attended preparatory school at the age of 13 and studied in Lakeside School. Gates was also very fond of reading books and referring to various books from encyclopedia and libraries (Paterson, 2000). From this stage, Gates started showing his interest in programming such as GE system in BASIC and used to find excuses from math classes so he can utilize his time in his own interest. This was reflected in him throughout his life and thus made him the IT master in the world.
