Introduction

The heart is a conical muscular organ located in the thoracic cavity, in the center of the chest between the lungs. Heart is the main pumping organ of the cardiovascular system that pushes blood throughout the body (Gilbert, 2000). Heart is a three tissue layer structured organ; inner layer called endocardium, mid layer myocardium, and outer most called pericardium. The myocardium is the largest layer that composes of a special type of muscle tissue, called cardiac muscle tissue (Martini et al., 2001).
