Improving healthcare conditions globally is one of the most challenging and important task for the community of the world. Although, the World Health Organisation (WHO) is doing concerted efforts in this respect, however, strong issues have been identified in relation to healthcare between developed and developing countries. On the other hand, the World Health Organisation has accomplished some of the tasks through its mandate strategy of 'Health', but there is a strong need that the organisation should encourage and motivate the member nations in order to establish and maintain their national and international laws to promote as well as protect the healthcare conditions among their populations. Therefore, it is the chief responsibility of the World Health Organisation to initiate efforts with respect to the legal and political perspectives of member nations in order to improve and enhance the global healthcare conditions (Kumbhakar, 2010).

The World Health Organisation (WHO) is an expressive and coordinated for sustaining better healthcare systems within the United Nations systems. The organisation is responsible for providing leadership is healthcare systems on the global basis. In the 21st century along with the era of globalisation, healthcare is a shared challenge for the globe and requires the quick access to essential care against healthcare issues on priority and equality basis is the toughest goal to be achieved (Eastwood, 2011).

The main objective of the World Health Organisation is the health promotion in terms of health education, since health education can be the most important approach in order to improve the healthcare standards of the world community. The constitution of 1948 of the World Health Organisation has defined the concept of health as: “A state of complete physical, social and mental wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Health is a resource for everyday life, not the object of living and it is a positive concept emphasising social and personal resources as well as physical capabilities” (Bauman & Craig, 2005).

The objective statement of the essay is as follows: “Healthcare education as well as promotion is necessary in order to improve physical, mental and social conditions of people, so that they can contribute in a positive way for the betterment of economy, society and environment in which they are utilising their lifestyles”. According to this, health is a functional unit, which can provide and allow people to spend an economically productive life individually and within the society. The comprehensive understanding provides the logic that the healthcare systems within states should provide the infrastructure that can be able to support the social, economical, and physical conditions in order to provide every individual and as a collective health and wellbeing conditions (Suk & Davis, 2008).
