Health and social care are dynamic pillars of any society. They aim to deliver the highest level of care and standard quality of service to their clients. Their importance is inevitable in a community. All care workers have the responsibility to provide the best service while abiding by the rules and regulations set by the government. Health and social care involve every area that affects human living like health, legal issues, community living and awareness among the public. Leadership competency in health care organization, based on the core competency standards, is the medium that helps assess the practitioner nurses on the basis of their knowledge, skills and performances in the health care services. The role of the practitioner nurse is based on the nursing profession knowledge, values, theories, and practice with excellent quality health care services provided to patients. The rationale of this paper is to assess the leadership competencies in the organization by the practitioner nurses in light of organization's mission, values stewardship values and governance models used. Despite of effective approaches implemented to enhance the leadership quality and quality of care provided to the patients, the attitude towards nursing quality remains low. This is because the senior nurses in the health care are either diploma holders or associated degree programs that lack the matter related to leadership, management and organization needed to execute the role of an efficient leader. To become an effective leader it is important to utilize the skills and knowledge to achieve quality improved services in the health care.

In parallel with the increase in prosperity in the developed societies of the world, we have seen an increase in personal services relating to entertainment, training facilities and cultural facilities. The largest area of personal services industry, however is, health services, which include private kindergartens, private healthcare, nursing management and substance abuse treatment. Many of these businesses also serve the public sector as an exclusive customer. The industry has a large preponderance of female employees, and the industry consumes a lot of manpower in service production because many of the services must be performed by people instead of machines (Tiwari & Heese, 2009).
Personal services consist of different businesses but also include health and social services, personal service and paid employment in private households. Public enterprises are defined here not as personal services. Examples of establishments in this industry are fitness centres, health care and education services provided by private operators, as well as private kindergartens. These services are mainly supplied to domestic households and traded in the market.
