There are a number of identified theories that developed the initial setting of the health and social care contexts, but even had results in some areas, could not achieve widespread and sustained community participation in health matters. Several factors have contributed to this situation, including the lack of understanding of what they should include participation in health (Banks, 2009). Instead of promoting participation, these models are manipulated in the sense of trying to assist in community activities that had nothing to do when they decided to initiate or authoritarian, and assume that a user person who is grateful for the attention you are getting, and considered more as a favour than a right. The intentionality of social participation is well understood, necessarily, in its efforts to transform social relations and socializing culture.
