Mandatory overtime in the field of nursing got implemented due to the inadequate staffing at the health care centers. It posed as one of the greatest problem in the health care facilities of USA. This bill can cause the increase in the rate of negligence in the health care facilities provided by the nurses.
For this purpose, we planned to conduct an interview with Matthew E. Baker - a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 68th District. Mathew has been working in the field of policy making and legislation for about more then 13 years. He is appointed Republican Chairman of the House Health and Human Services Committee, with Day, Gary as Subcommittee Chair on Health Facilities and Gingrich, Mauree as Subcommittee Chair on Health Care.
Therefore, we decided to go and meet here there for an interview. He is a very active and graceful gentleman. After warm greetings and wishes, I started the interview, with a brief introduction about me and my motives to conduct this interview.
Reasons for running the office
On questioning about the personal self and the reason why he runs this office, Mathew replied that he joined the department of health in 2010. Mathew stated that there are permanent legislative panels and they are responsible for handling all the important work of the full committee. They are responsible for handling routine housekeeping functions and ensuring favorable treatment to house of Americans Indians. Although there is a limit to number of committee members but committees, may employ the number of people they feel appropriate resources as it sees fit.
The house is also responsible for creation of proposals and studies showing how much funding the government needs to continue operating for the following fiscal year in the Office of Management and Financial Budget for the next fiscal year. After the President submits his proposal, House committees and Senate committees work independently to establish the budget resolution. They add to and modify the President's content, finally deciding on a budget that will work for the members of both houses.

The House supports the issues of Rural Caucus, the Tax Reform Caucus and the Firefighters and Emergency Services Caucus. Mathew has been a advocating the health issues and was awarded the many recognition awards. The National Federation of Independent Business has also named Baker Guardian of Small Business. Baker was also recognized by leadership for having attained a 19-year record of perfect attendance at every House floor session since first becoming a state legislator.
