Introduction

It is because of the reason that, healthcare is one of the primary needs for people of any state or country. It is observed that, appropriate and effective healthcare policies may greatly help the government as well as the concerned authorities of any state to establish continuity in the healthcare services. In addition to this, it is also observed that, these healthcare policies may also help in addressing the healthcare issues and vulnerabilities in the state. Singapore is considered as one of the most successful and prominent state in the field of healthcare. It is because of the reason that, the government of Singapore has introduced and implemented appropriate and effective healthcare policies, within their state, in order to ensure the health of their citizens (Lim, 2003, pp. 3-6). According to recent researches and studies, Singapore possesses excellent and highly effective standards of health care standards, both in the private and public sectors. It is observed that, the government of Singapore achieved this success, in the field of healthcare, by implementing effective and appropriate strategies and health care policies. These policies significantly helped them in attaining their pre defined goals (Balji, 2013, p.n.d.).

This study aims to demonstrate the healthcare policies of Singapore. The effectiveness of these policies in addressing the healthcare issues are also elaborated in the proceeding discussion. Moreover, the aims and objectives as well as the intended benefits of these strategies are also incorporated in the proceeding discussion. The steps of development and implementation of healthcare policies are also elaborated in the study. In addition to this, the positive and negative impacts of these policies are also included in the study. Studies and researches demonstrate that, these policies can also be improved by taking effective steps from the stakeholders of the Singaporean healthcare organizations.
