Discussion
The interview was conducted in the presence of all the family members at a time. The husband, wife and the two daughters were looking like a happy family. The Husband named as “Henry Smith”, the wife named as ”Elsa Smith” and daughters were “Lisa” and “Susan”, who were 5 and 1 years old respectively.
According to Henry, there were no immediate members alive in his family; all he has is his family of 4 members. This made him emotional as he missed his parents at the moment. In response to the question of previous marriages or relations, there was a happy smile on Henry and Elsa face, describing the fact that they were living a good enough life for 6 years together as happily as they are.
The house was single floored with 3 bedrooms, 1 guest room, a TV lounge, and a little garden outside the house for children, and the top floor was left as roof area. There was a separate room for the children which was furnished and decorated typically in girlish style.
The house was well maintained in terms of safety features, like there was a fire escape, guardrails on windows, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. The paint quality was good, and the sanitary system was well designed. The house seemed to be the best example of designers approach to live a healthy life. However, there was an environmental hazard which may affect the members. There was heavy street traffic causing air and noise pollution to the livings. In reply to the question about this hazardous factor, Henry told that the traffic was not this much enough at the time of house building. It had increased since past few years, and is expected to increase further as the technology and people are getting advanced. Anyhow, for creating a healthy environment, there was the implication of green-house effect, and a number of plants were also there in the garden.
The most pleasant thing of the interview was that the family was acting in togetherness as the two daughters seemed happy and enjoying their company. None of them bothered her mother about anything, and the little one was having a constant smile on her face playing with her sister. It was a happy go lucky symbol of meeting such a family which was not complex at all (web2.aabu.edu.).
