End of Life Decisions refer to the point where a decision has to be made regarding a patient's life when the individual himself/herself loses the ability to decide or communicate their wishes. As humane and ethical the term sounds to be, there are always certain problems regarding the final decisions made about a person's life. The most common issues among these would include the following points:

Many Societal Groups protest that life is a natural gift and making a decision regarding one's life is only to be placed in a person's hand whose life is at stake. One possible solution to this problem is to give a patient the facility of developing an Advance Directive (AD) in the time of their consciousness.

Euthanasia refers to whether a patient should have the ability to make a decision about ending one's life if they think that their life is causing more pain than they could bear. However, one dilemma that rises in this case is whether the patient has the mental capability to make this sever decision; or is it more of an emotionally driven decision.

Some patients insist that they want to withdraw from the provided treatment services and do not want to receive extensive care because they personally feel that extensive care is not doing any more good to their life. Being a professional in the field of healthcare, this presents a huge question towards the medical staff because it is an ethical and legal responsibility of medical staff to provide healthcare to patients (Pozgar, 2012).

In the first example, we take an individuality, lying stable in the hospital mattress or bed, and request ourselves: what intention would we do for delaying his or her existence, when s/he can no more extended experience all that s/he reveled in and carried a twinkle to his/her eye? Without joy and satisfaction, without the stimulation of the social order of family and companions, what esteem does his/her life have? This doubt might convey the day in the event that we were to be sure essentially creatures who are composites of our practical experiences, human beings who start with birth and end with death.
