Gun control has always been a controversial subject. People oppose and favor the regulations regarding the gun control. The essay asserts that pervasiveness of gun control must not be a component of the society. People should come forward to refute against gun control since citizens should be able to guard themselves, the crime rate would decline, and citizens have the right to possess arms (Kristin, 2009).

The debate regarding the gun control is neither a new one nor particular to United States of America. Most of the gun control regulations make no differentiation among the individuals who are law breakers and those who are law followers.

Gun control regulations simply include that anyone who use a gun is likely to be a law buster, which is simply not a situation. The objective behind the gun control regulations is to avoid the offenders from obtaining weapons and using the weapons they had obtained. However, the number of equipped criminal offenses and criminals has elevated during enough time when gun control regulations have flourished. This indicates as if the actual results of gun control have not been the estimated ones (Philip, Ludwig, & Samaha, 2009).

Gun control regulations reduces the common individuals from owning a gun, which indicates that in the duration of a criminal strike or a theft, the resident will not be likely to secure him or herself. A gun control law will limit the individuals from defending themselves in situation of an aggressive criminal activity strike.

This will allow the criminals to be more highly effective and assured while fighting individuals as individuals would not be equipped. Criminals are triggered by self-protection and weapons can thus be a disincentive.

A greater part of charged United States criminals have revealed that they worry from fighting the victims who are equipped. Their worry of experiencing equipped victims exceeds their worry of being captured by cops. Thieves do not attempt to break into homes after late night because of the prospect of being taken. Thus, people should come forward to refute against gun control because criminal offenses will reduce.

Civil Rights

All people have rights. They are often divided into human rights and civil rights. Among human rights are the right to liberty, the right to housing and food and the right not to be mistreated. These are the basic rights of any human being. Civil rights are those which the government guarantees citizens (Mary, 2009).
