Gun Control

Kleck & Patterson (1993) in their article stated that gun control represents legislative, administrative, and enforcement attempts to regulate the manufacture, sale, transfer, possession, and use of firearms (Kleck & Patterson, 249-288). Gun control exists at local levels of government, affecting only individuals within those jurisdictions, and at the national level, affecting individuals across the nation. It is difficult to accurately summarize controls at state and local levels because of their tremendous variation. On the other side, Vizzard (1995) explained that gun control policies and proposals also exist on a continuum of very loose regulations to outright prohibitions (Vizzard, 341-347). ...
