Gun control
Introduction
Debate about reducing the gun culture in this universe is very old, and in United States of America, its intensity is of high magnitude and most importantly public is unaware of the legal regulation of the gun (Smith, 2003). Various sections of media are creating awareness in the public about the devastating impact of keeping a gun, but their efforts have not yet achieved the desired outcome. Situation regarding possessing of arms has become worse in the recent years because of poor legal structure regarding the demand and supply of weapons (Slovak, 2002).
Lack of the legal frameworks is best described as the guilt performed by various stakeholders during the period of regime. Current violent situation provides all the stakeholders to compare their overall performance with one another, and draft unambiguous policies for the reduction of various crimes such as, killing, robbery, unintentional killings, suicide, and others (Open society, 2000). Apart from lack of interest from governmental officials, two other shocking facts were observed, firstly, less than 80 percent of the legal structure is acquainted about the legal obligation regarding the purchase and sale of arms, and secondly, the magnitude at which this disease is spreading across the nation (Banerd, 2009).
Frequent occurrence of heinous incidents has shaken the lives of the countless citizens, and they have started to believe that they are not safe in places like schools, churches, restaurants; in fact, they do not feel safe even at their homes. Out of these horrifying incidents, some become the headlines while the majority of affected people do not bother to report the incidents because of prevailing fear, and lack of trust (Krouse, 2012). According to the statistics, the daily crime rate related to gun violence is soaring to 80 percent of the total crimes reported.
