Introduction

This assignment will throw light on the dream job that I would want to do. It will also include the compensation and benefits plan and packages that should be provided to such a job and position. Further, it will assess that how negotiating and collective bargaining with this specific position in mind would contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.

My Dream Job

My dream job would be to work in the corporate world with a MBA degree and make my way up to the top of the ladder and become the manager of a well reputed company like Unilever. The field of business is one of the most interesting fields that I have come across. It is the first thing that comes across my mind when I think of my dream job and my future. To achieve this dream job I would have to complete my Masters in Business Administration and then start working to get through with the dream job. To start off with the career, I would have to begin with an internship in some reputable company. The internship will then lead me to a full time job in some organization. This internship will serve as an entry into the job market. After I get done with my Masters program, I will also start doing certifications which help me make my case better in front of the selecting committees.

Employee Achievement Recognition Program

Employee achievement recognition programs are programs in which the Director gives awards or praise the employee or team for outstanding achievements at work. Accomplishments can be: the end of a project earlier than expected, innovation at work, taking risks, reducing costs, exceptional customer service, etc. Recognitions usually used are bonuses, movie tickets, vacations and more. One can also add working in private, or send an email to the organization indicating the employee's achievements (Armstrong, 2008).

Employee recognition programs are related theory of reinforcement. Like theory, rewarding and recognizing the behavior will encourage the repetition of such behavior. The program contributes to self-fulfillment needs of the employee and for his social belonging (stages theory of Maslow's needs). When publishing the achievements employee organization, the employee's social needs are provided. Also, giving recognition to staff can move up their motivation and team cohesion.

Unlike other stimulants measures, such plan costs less money, so such programs can be extensively used in the company. Known example of this type of program is a set of suggestions for improvement. Employees offer suggestions on how to improve processes and to reduce the costs of the organization and in return they receive a financial bonus (Armstrong, 2008).

Variable Compensation Programs

Variable compensation programs are the programs which the company provide rewards on junction, such as: incentive pay, profit sharing, bonuses, etc., for improving employee performance. Mentioned rewards are based on performance and how they vary in different periods.
