Green jobs has relation with formal employments, in economic activities contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and improving / preserving the environmental quality, aiming the reduction of the environmental impacts and protection of the biodiversity, to avoid forms of waste and pollution is sustainability. This paper aims to examine the green jobs as a mechanism to reduction of environmental impacts. This is a qualitative research of realized by the deductive method and technical procedure bibliographical and documentary. Thereby begins the analysis of concepts of sustainable development, green jobs, decent work and dignity of the worker, environmental impact and public policy.

The current patterns of production and consumption and by economic activities can reduce environmental impacts. Initiatives related to public policies aims to create more green jobs (Deitche, 2010). In this sense, we can conclude that America, through new patterns of production, consumption and green consciousness, can be able to reduce environmental impacts with creation, in economic activities, jobs formal and respectful human dignity and the environment, providing changes in support of the global climate and the dignity of workers. The creation of “Green jobs” is beneficial to America in terms of reducing unemployment, alleviating poverty, reducing oil consumption, helping the balance of trade and improving air or water quality.

Discussion

Aggressive climate initiatives create jobs while implementing green jobs. An effort to rehabilitate the climate and energy efficiency, not only contributes to climate fight, but also reduces unemployment by creating a demand for labor in the cyclical construction industry. As well as, an investment in the green industries (such as production of wind turbines, solar cells) contributes to more jobs. Facilitation for small businesses contributes to job. Encouraging more services also contribute to more sustainable jobs. Renovation of the railway itself provides some new jobs, but it also creates new possibilities for commuting which facilitates labor market matching. In addition to this, Green jobs lead these efforts in the sustainable society (Schwartz & Snider, 2009).

The introduction of innovations is always at the expense of established solutions. Therefore, growth in a capitalist economy is a process of creative destruction, which involves a constant structural change, where products, jobs and entire industries are created and destroyed. For example, the tractors introduced in an economy reduce the need for agricultural labor and fewer people will work in agriculture. When the tractor provides productivity improvements, require a smaller share of society's resources to be utilized to produce food. The very similar is the role of Green jobs in American society (Miller, 2010).

Environmental regulations and public investment in renewable energy can using this approach lead to economic growth, provided that the reallocation taking place of community resources leads to more innovation and greater productivity than would otherwise have been the case. However, if public investment and increased environmental regulation in place will lead to lower productivity and a lower rate of innovation, as these initiatives have a negative contribution to economic growth.
