Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of graphic organizers that will help students to enhance reading comprehension in a holistic context. The point that is to be more in focus in this research paper is on graphic organizers and its relation with reading comprehension. The paper discusses the implications of findings, a brief summary and the reviewers' assessment of usefulness and benefits of graphic organizers in enhancing comprehension and acquisition of content.The research also analyzes many aspects of graphic organization and tries to gauge its effect on reading comprehension.

Graphic Organizers Help Increase Reading Comprehension

Introduction

The term graphic organizers have used to define it in a context of the special visual structure that provides assistance to the facilitators and the students several varieties of features to make use of it in order to get acquaintance, and build an understanding about the concepts, languages, and having better ability to understand about other subjects. It serves the purpose to simplify, and help the students to exhibit the association, crux, and manage to develop the data confidently (Crawford & Carnine, 2000).

The term itself is defined as an image representation of the information, or knowledge. The graphic organizer has the feature to organize the information, and plot it on a graph, this feature helps students to jot the information in a structural form, and allow them to arrange the concept in a particular pattern using one more feature of labeling the subject.

It helps the student to allocate the data, and describe and explain the association of the subject and the matter along with managing it. It is useful in terms of the complex material, honoring diverse culture, supports different languages to be learned. With respect to the subject it further assists students to understand different subject matters, and go along with the student with disabilities in learning.

Graphical Organizers Advantages

There is many advantaged pertaining to graphic organizers, starting with the first one that it helps all students with a very vast span of workings, along with it, it helps in educating all the students easily without any interruption or hindrance, and is useful for both special students as well as regular students. The most important advantage is that using the graphic organizer the teacher will ensure that the student will learn the same content, because of the least restrictive environment (Baxendell, 2003). The outcome for the teachers will be called upon to describe the students with some special instructions on using the tool. With the help, of several researches the teacher has now been able to use diverse tools in their researches, strategy planning, in order to be in compatible with the needs of the students.
