Introduction

Quantitative research is one in which data are collected and analyzed quantitative variables. Qualitative research prevents quantification. Qualitative researchers are narrative records of the phenomena being studied by techniques such as participant observation and unstructured interviews. The fundamental difference between both methods is that quantitative studies the association or relationship between quantified and qualitative variables makes structural and situational contexts. Qualitative research seeks to identify the underlying nature of reality, its system of relationships, dynamic structure. Quantitative research seeks to determine the strength of association or correlation between variables, generalization and objectivity of the results through a sample to make inference to a population sample from which all proceeds. After the study of the association or correlation is intended, in turn, make causal inference as to why things happen or not a particular way.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the Graduate Earning Data, the data set covers age of the respondents while the respondents have been divided into two categories (degree and no degree). Altogether there were 172 respondents that have participated in the study, all the variables take discrete values, and it is a variable that can take values from a list of specific numbers. The quantitative data provide a good overall picture of a population. They also allow observing trends over time.

Quantitative data are usually subject to a "clean" or "smoothing". These methods can reduce the weight of the exceptional cases and to facilitate comparisons with other geographical locations or other populations. Unfortunately, they also contribute to mask the unusual cases, where the limitations inherent in this type of data.

Literature Review

Earnings inequality point to the disparity between the incomes of individuals 'rich' and those individuals 'poor'. This disparity is highlighted by measuring and analyzing a comparative income levels within the same country or between nations of the globe. In order to analyze the given data set, researcher would be applying several statistical techniques; statistical methods play an important role in the objective assessment of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the process and are an important element of quality assurance and total quality management process. It is no coincidence the founder of the modern theory of quality management E. Deming worked for many years in the Bureau of the Census, and is engaged in the issues of statistical data.

Today economists are unanimous in recognizing the tremendous importance of formal education, i.e. knowledge, skills and abilities to their perception and renewal - that provides a person is education. We used different methods and models, but the results that come various researchers, are practically the same: the total effect of all factors, except for education, not more than 40% and 60% of the difference in income levels due to a person of his education. So, everyone agrees that education is most strongly influences the growth of future earnings of the individual.
