Introduction

Google is considered to be a giant, and everyone knows about it. As everyone now who is in contact with the world of internet is aware of the big name. This name has conquered the search engines and there is no other website that comes to when one hears search engine. Today instead of saying search it, it is said 'Google it.' This is how big the company has become and how huge its network is. The company is one of the largest companies in the world and it is operating worldwide. The company has never been in a controversy with anyone until the last couple of years. This paper will discuss the controversy between Google and China.

Strict Control of the Authorities

The Internet in China is under strict government control. The governmental web filter, are called "Golden Shield" that monitors the data stream and filter access to undesirable content, who calls around the side of a human rights organization does not get a connection. From the pages of operators required by the government in Beijing is a self-censorship on issues like Tibet. Search engines may also provide for specific requests such as the oppressed democratic movement results. What happens if one does not follow the rules has undergone Google in June of last year. China refused and said that it had not attacked the company as it did not have any reason for doing so. It later blamed the United States and said that it was a part of the American government conspiracy.
