The customers are also very empowered in nature, leading the companies to develop highly efficient HR departments. Strategic HRM is considered as one of the most important facts of the contemporary global business environment. In the current business sector the process of globalization has introduced several factors, which have produced several managerial dilemmas. The manager's requir3e the assistance and the vision of an effective HR department to be able to cope with these challenges and develop the human resource of the company. The biggest change that the process of globalization has introduced on the contemporary global business sector is the transition or the business entities from the product approach to the value based approach (Snell & Bohlander, 2012). In the current global business sector the concept of brand management and brand value have replaced the traditional concepts of mass production. The phenomenon of globalization has caused the majority of the multinational organizations to enter the vast global consumer base, which has very dynamic consumption behaviors, in this environment the majority of the organizations also have to contend with numerous competitive forces on the global platform; hence the significance of an effective HR department becomes essential in an organizational network.

It is the HR function which enables the company to develop the adequate skills and expertise among the employees, so that they are able to add value to the organization. The process of globalization has converted the HR function to become highly multi dimensional, where it has to ensure the development of a diverse workforce. As these companies have an operational presence in multiple global regions and markets, the multinational companies hence employ employees from various different nationalities. Although these employees have different socio cultural backgrounds, they must possess the skills to work in a collective manner so as to provid3e the greatest benefit to the organization. The HR department in the contemporary business entities has to ensure that this function is adequately achieved, and the entire diverse workforce can operate in a collective and conducive manner. The HR department of these companies has to ensure that it identifies the various globalization factors which have an influence on the organizational entity, and they take the relevant actions so as to bolster the workforce.
