Task 1

Task A

4 sided polygon

These are known as Quadrilaterals. These include square, rhombus, rectangles and Trapezoid.

6 sided polygon

This is known as a Hexagon

8 sided polygon

This is known as Octagon

10 sided polygon

This is known as Decagon

Task B

4 sides with two equal acute angles and two equal obtuse angles

This is known as a quadrilateral such as Parallelogram, Rhombus and Trapezium

4 sides with equal angles and equal lengths sides

This is also known as a quadrilateral such as a square.

Task C

1

The angle behind the 30 degree angle is also equal to 30 degree. (Opposite angles)

The acute angle below the 30 degree angle is also 30 degrees (Alternate angles)

The last unknown angle is equal to 160 degrees. The acute angle beside this measures equal to 30 degrees (Opposite angles), where the straight line means a 180 degree angle. Hence, 180 degree-30 degrees = 160 degrees.

2

The angle blow the 120-degree angle is also equal to 120 degree. (Opposite angles)

The angle beside the 120 degree angle is also 120 degree.

Foe the two remaining angles below, the obtuse angle measures 120 degrees and the acute angle measures 60 degrees. (180 deg - 120 deg = 60 deg)

Task D

1

The unknown angle measures 120 deg (180 deg - 60 deg = 120 deg)

2

The unknown angle measures 90 deg (180 deg - 90 deg = 90 deg

Task E

Shape E and L are congruent

Shape I and D are congruent

Shape J and N are congruent

Shape B and K are congruent

Task F

The missing side in Shape A measures 3cm, the side opposite to this will also measure 3cm. The remaining unmeasured side is equal to 12 cm.

The missing side in Shape B measures 36 cm. The side opposite to this measures 36 cm as well. The remaining two sides measure 18 cm.
