Introduction

The report needs to be discussed on the project that has been carried out by five members with the purpose of promoting the Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and gender security for the Egyptian community that has been taken under consideration. Gender mainstreaming goes a step beyond gender balance by using gender analysis to analyze the power structures and relationships between different groups in Egypt, which can keep women and men from enjoying equal opportunities. Projects aimed specifically at women's empowerment may be a part of the gender mainstreaming strategy, when evidence suggests that targeted programs are necessary to help women claim their human rights. However, the overall goal of gender mainstreaming is to make the experiences of both men and women a central focus in the design, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs in all areas

Research Question

Following are the research questions which have been answered in this research:

What are the issues related to FGM in Egypt?

How can gender security be achieved in Egypt?

Can spreading awareness and educating the people of Egypt result in gender equality and a decrease in FGM?

Factors and Considerations

The following report will consider the issues related to the gender analysis and strategies that has been taken into consideration for drawing attention on the research methods that will be used to gain the information relating to this community. The paper will investigate all the hurdles and difficulties that have come across the way for gaining the gender security agenda and implementing equality in Egypt.

Limitations

Thus, during the investigation the report also highlights the limitations and difficulties that were encountered for carrying out the project and promoting the resources that the group has made for supporting the community, as well as it describes the learning that has been facilitated through this project analysis.

Discussion and Analysis

Through the report analysis on the gender equality, it has been highlighted that various current issues relating to the Women's right and obligation in Egypt community has been given high importance. It was a fact that since 20th century, there were no such issues or disagreement relating to the role of Egyptian women, or their role in the society (mop.gov.eg). However, in the current state, the thinking for the equal treatment of men and women has been given importance over the past few years. This investigation was based on the data gained from the previous research that has been carried out based on the Egypt women and the community; it was also based on the interview that was being conducted with the Egyptian women. Through the interview, it highlighted that the Egypt community was lacking understanding of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and also Education for All (EFA).
