Introduction

The French Revolution is the most important event in the history of France. It started in 1789 and ends November 10, 1799. The meeting of the States General marks the beginning of the revolution and it is the coup of 18 Brumaire of Napoleon Bonaparte. The revolution has signed the end of the old regime and royal absolutism to pass under a constitutional monarchy and finally to the creation of the first republic.
