Autonomy

Autonomy essentially means independence from external influences and systems, self-reliance, and the right to self-determine the independent existence, of one's actions. Autonomy is closely linked with the will of the individual; restrictions on the freedom of the effect of restricting the autonomy, and so the natural rights of the individual to function independently, based on individual will and reason. Autonomy is the spirit of liberalism - is a natural phenomenon, as well as freedom, and should be protected by law against social pressure and arbitrary actions of power.
