Ethical Behavior and Social Responsibility of Tobacco Industry
Social responsibility includes ethical, legal, economic and philanthropic responsibilities to the society by the industry. Tobacco industry can take use of CSR to meet the essential needs of the industry. To address the social demands and be answerable to more than the shareholders, also to accept the ethical obligations within the society at a larger scale, tobacco industry invests in the social responsibility. The industry is also benefited by the sale of the product or brand because social responsibility is linked with marketing to a specific social benefit (Dorfman, 2012).
