Introduction

Development cannot be seen independently, it is always holistic because development is dependent cannot be viewed in isolation to make sure the child will reach their developmental potential. Holistic development takes into consideration intellectual, language, emotional, social and physical development in combination, so that the child can develop.

If a child is not able to butter bread; however he is highly intellectual. This may be because the child does not have an opportunity to practice the physical skill and not because he/ she are incapable of buttering bread. In the same way, if a child requires wearing glasses to improve his sight, while other children do not have to wear glasses, this may probably affect his self-esteem or diminish his confidence and undermine his self-worth, which might destroy his socialization and lead him towards isolation because other children may involve in teasing him, such incidence may stop him to wear glasses to become socially acceptable. As a result, a child might not see properly that impact his intellectual ability and he will be unable to do his homework and progress chances will lessen. This example clearly depicts the significance of holistic development and how physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of a child is related to each other.

Holistic Development in Early Years of Child

The stage of life till the age 3 referred to a phase of brain development based on experiment and as a vital period for the neurobiological development, which may have an effect on behaviour, learning and health during the whole life span (Tinajero and Mustard, 2011, pp. 25-35). These early years of child's life are also viewed as the most important social determinants of wellbeing, as well as this is the time when experiences and social environments prompt in a child (Hertzman and Boyce, 2010, pp. 329-347).

A path of life can define as a path that development can acquire as a consequence of the interaction between genetic and environmental factors. In this interface, the role of epigenetic effects comes into view. Number of studies has confirmed that unpleasant and unfavourable early incidents may have a lifelong and enduring effect on the health of an individual, including premature death, substance abuse, mental health, memory loss, ageing, obesity, non-insulin dependent diabetes and coronary heart disease; as well as on leaning such as school dropout and school achievement; and behaviour like antisocial behaviour, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism throughout child's life.

The early life experiences have a direct and significant impact on how the brain parts functions and develops. During early childhood, there is an ongoing interchange between pathways of sensory development, the immune system, function of gene, and the course of (limbic system-hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal gland axis) L-HPA.
