Working Full Time with Benefits Vs Working As Independent Contractor and Its Benefits

Introduction

There are some companies who prefer to hire employees as independent contractors instead of full time employees. The companies do it for several reasons. They may require particular expertise for a short period of time. This will also include discarding a few essentials present in the case of working full-time. However, at the same time it releases the contractual employees from various obligations (Carré, 2000). In fast food industry, the trend of full-time and independent contractors is quite in action. At KFC, the branch owners offer the opportunity to allow people to work in contractual basis. Delivery boys, sweepers, customer attendants and other related categories have the potential to hire e employees on a part time. This allows the company to capture the needed talent with little implications. Although there is no established Human Resource department at KFC chains, branch owners and managers have to organize the human talent and knowledge.
