In the book “The Sunflower”, the writer narrates a true event (Wiesenthal, 1976), which took place during the days of World War II. The story is about a Nazi soldier who killed hundreds of Jews and while he was on death bed, he asked the Jew writer for the forgiveness. Thus, the central theme of the book is forgiveness, and it makes the reader to think about the question that whether he would be able to forgive Karl, under the same situations or not. In this essay, I plan to answer the same question.
