Introduction

A foreign policy is normally a plan of action adopted by every nation so that a nation or country can deal with the diplomatic scenarios of other countries. All the foreign policies are an efficient path of dealing with the problems that arise from other counties. In this assignment the foreign policy of United States will be analysed along with its strengths and weaknesses. The strengths and weaknesses always remains a tool for the foreign policy of the state. Background of American Foreign Policy

The plans and actions decided and taken by the United States in order to endorse its national interest, safety and good position worldwide all comes under the head of foreign policy. All these actions require the steps that support a competitive system and economy. It provides a strong border of defense of the nation; promote peace worldwide or in the United States, freedom and an important element that is democracy around the world. Certain points of the foreign policy consist of contradictions too. This happens when some country's foreign policy results as a threat to the U.S. safety and soundness this is what we call a contradiction. This also affects the country's freedom, economy & democracy. Foreign policy of the United States or in general is never a constant factor; it changes with the change in circumstances. A foreign policy established and promoted by the government or state goes through various steps when it comes to the making process (Baugh, 2000, p. 66).

The U.S. foreign policy face was the presidents of America because of the depression of public policy that defines a states administrations and responses but making these policies is not an easier task. The constitution of the United States divides the foreign policy in two aspects that is between the president of the state and the congress. The main or official goal of the United State's foreign policy is simply defined as creating safer, self-governing and a wealthy world that is beneficial for the people of America and the global community. All this not that simple as it sounds.

A shared foreign policy made by the presidential and legislative class and congress is designed to keep check and balance which the congress do only when there is a major disruption between both. There are six basic ways to make a foreign policy that both the parties use.
