Science and Technology Trends relating to Fire Management

Introduction

Fire Technology refers to the full range of potential, actual and possible fire hazards and emergency situations faced by the environment and humans. Fire technology is basically a peer reviewed academic journal scientific research, which provides a positive contribution in terms of both empirical and theoretical concepts and facilitates for the solutions of the problems in several fields related to fire safety. All the research work is done with the association of National Fire Protection Association. This paper will be focusing on the nano-technology advancements in terms of fire technology.

Thesis Statement

This research paper focuses on the use of technology with regards to safety and security from fire and dealing with emergency situation in fire.

Discussion

This part of the research paper presents the discussion about the technology which has been evolved in the field of fire emergency management having goal for achieving innovation at the same time. Here, in the same part of the paper, Research and Development activities have been discussed in detail in some of the areas which were selected by the government of the state from the view of requirements of people who are associated in dealing with fire emergency situations. Max Moritz, environmental specialist at the University of Berkeley stated that,

"Even with the best technological advances in fire fighting, perhaps the best way to minimize damage is to recognize that fires play a necessary role in restoring some ecosystems, so one solution out first to build in hazardous areas, using flame and raise awareness on issues of prevention.”

Nano-Technology Based Firefighting Clothing

The above figure shows the development of next generation clothing for firefighting the clothing which is based on nano-technology. Research and Development departments are actively coordinating with national research institutes for the development of such materials in order to identify the requirements of the people who are associated with the field of firefighting. Safety is one of the core concerns for most of the people. Considering this safety factor, first thing that comes to mind is of susceptibility of fire burning.
